Holy war goes to Irish

BC (+6) at Notre Dame: Boston College is 4-2 vs Irish, which enters the game 5-2. This leads me to the obvious deduction that both are having good years.

That is where the similarities stop.

Would you rather say out your wins include Ball State, UConn and UMass or Michigan, Michigan State and Stanford. Notre Dame has beaten the better teams and is a class up. The visiting Eagles lost at Pitt last week, giving up 172 yards on the ground. The Irish should match that figure

In the wall to wall win against Navy, Notre Dame QB Quinn is getting "it." He passes when necessary and hands the ball off to RB Grant to get the series started. Playing in the "splintered" Big East is not helping BC’s cause either. West Virginia seems to be the only legitimate team in the conference and the Mountaineers are probably are a little overrated.

Boston College won 27-25 last year at Chestnut Hill, even with a valiant comeback by notre dame. The 5½ or 6 looks a little thin and I suspect the game to go just up a bit come game time. You have two teams going in different directions. Point me in direction of the Golden Dome. NOTRE DAME.

Take care, Jimmy V

Last week: 1-0
