Food deals catch ’Fire

Nov 1, 2004 10:58 PM

Begun on a trial basis nearly 10 months ago, Wildfire Casino (on Rancho Drive, across from Texas Station) is making casino industry workers happy campers by offering great late night cheap food and drink specials. The ongoing good deals include 49-cent late night specials served Sunday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and include well drinks, draft beer, ham, turkey or grilled cheese sandwiches, slices of pizza, and breakfast items such as eggs and toast, sides of bacon or pancakes. The offer is valid for all casino employees and you must present a current casino ID or work card and be 21 years or older. So, gather your friends together after work and head over to the Wildfire Casino.

Slot clubs are still one of the best bargains in town. Several weeks ago, we pointed out several good deals (meal discounts, show discounts, etc.) just by being a member of several clubs, even without doing any gambling. Now we get word from Caesars Entertainment that by presenting the Connection Club Card (again, there is no cost to join) at the Flamingo, spa guests receive discounts and special benefits including: $5 off the facilities fee ($15 instead of $20); $15 off one-hour massage ($65 instead of $80), and $10 off on a half hour massage ($40 instead of $50). Card-carrying members also are entitled to a $10 discount on specialty massages.

Throughout the month of November, Arizona Charlie’s (both locations) will be rewarding club members with weekly drawings for $50,000 in plasma screen TVs.

Ultimate Rewards members may start earning entries Monday, continuing through Nov. 30. Players earn drawing tickets for play on slots, table games, race and sports bets and bingo play.

Drawings will be held every Tuesday during November at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The club member’s Ultimate Rewards card must be in use at the time of participation to be eligible.

Want to cut a rug without shredding your bankroll? Check out the Gold Coast for its Latin Breeze party on Friday and Saturday nights. Women get in free and men are only $10 (for a couple, that’s $5 apiece).

If you prefer to swing like Fred and Ginger, the Gold Coast hosts ballroom and swing dancing on Sunday afternoons for only $7.50 per person (which includes two drinks). If you get there an hour before the show, you can get free dance lessons. Arthur Murray never had it so good!
