Hotel’s a Renaissance for ‘bad girls’

The new Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel opens next week, and part of its grand opening includes a "Bad Girls" package designed to unleash the budding Vegas diva in every woman.

The 548-room hotel is located on Paradise Road, just off Desert Inn Road, in the heart of the convention district.

Because the Renaissance doesn’t have a casino, the 14-story hotel will become the largest non-gaming hotel in the state.

Created with the Las Vegas conventioneer in mind, the hotel’s guest rooms are modern affairs with high-speed Internet access, dual-line telephones, voicemail and data ports, clock radios, in-room safes, hair dryers, coffeemakers, ironing boards and irons.

Other hotel amenities include an upscale steakhouse, bar, coffee shop, outdoor pool and whirlpool, business center, meeting and banquet space, and concierge services.

To help christen the new hotel, the Renaissance is offering a "Bad Girls" package designed to release a woman’s "inner vixen."

"No matter what type of hotel guest — corporate executive to soccer mom — the package is a chance for these women to let their hair down, have some fun and maybe partake in some of Las Vegas’ famous indiscretions," said a hotel spokeswoman. "Besides, who among us women can’t use a little sharpening of our flirting skills, anyway?"

The package will cost $200 per person beginning with the hotel’s opening on Dec. 3 and continuing through April 5, 2005.

The package includes:

”¡ Stiletto-ready pedicures

”¡ Diva training at Madame Tussauds at The Venetian

”¡ Admission into the Palms’ Rain nightclub

”¡ "Flirtinis" and coquette tips at Envy Lounge

”¡ Copy of "101 Ways to Flirt"

The "101 Ways to Flirt" is a kind of training manual with tips such as maintaining eye contact and using body language to appear confident and approachable.

Those flirting tips and rules of attraction are tested at the Envy Lounge, where specially-created "Flirtinis" assist the seductresses-in-training.

Bolstered by 86-proof Flirtinis, burgeoning bad girls will visit Madame Tussauds wax museum at The Venetian, where the resident diva will assist in choosing the proper outfit and fashion accessories.

Finally, the newfound femme fatales have a coming-out party of sorts at the Rain nightclub, where they will presumably dance the night away with the man of their dreams in the shadow of 14-foot-high fireballs and water fountains.

Let the indiscretions begin.
