Casinos a cornucopia of holiday deals

With Thanksgiving upon us, the casinos are braced for a four-day holiday weekend for tourists and locals alike. Besides spending the day with family, friends and football, we’ll all be looking for a great traditional holiday meal.

A popular locals choice for an excellent value on Thanksgiving will be Ellis Island Casino and Brewery. Celebrate Thanksgiving dinner with a special meal that includes turkey, ham, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes, yams, gravy, traditional cranberry sauce, soup of the day, salad and dinner rolls, topped off with pumpkin pie served with whipped topping, all for only $9.95 per person. Even the coffee, hot tea or iced tea is included. There should be plenty of room for everyone as this special dinner will be served in both the restaurant and in the Celebration Square banquet room from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta Rancho will be serving holiday specials in the coffee shop as well as the buffet. The Baja Beach Café will serve holiday dinners from $9.99 and the Festival Buffet will include all of the turkey, trimmings and side dishes for just $10.99, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

How about an unbelievable $4.99 turkey dinner? Poker Palace in North Las Vegas is serving a full Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, sweet potato, rolls and dessert for just five bucks on the holiday.

On the Strip, Monte Carlo will feature a special Thanksgiving buffet served from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for $15.95 per person. The buffet presentation will include roast turkey and dressing, baked Virginia ham, whipped potatoes, candied yams and vegetables plus a lavish all-you-can-eat salad bar and holiday dessert bar. Your choice of beverage is also included.

Memphis Championship Barbecue will feature traditional Thanksgiving holiday dinner served family-style, on Thursday, from noon to 7 p.m. at its Rainbow, Santa Fe Station, Warm Springs and Las Vegas Boulevard at Craig Road locations. Famous for its popular down-home barbecue dishes, Memphis Championship Barbecue’s Thanksgiving Day dinner includes country smoked ham and smoked turkey served with mixed green salad and house dressing, plus a choice of traditional holiday side dishes. Side dishes to choose from include: cream corn; green bean casserole; candied yams; mashed potatoes and giblet gravy; cole slaw; baked beans; cranberry sauce; fruit salad and sage dressing or corn bread dressing. In addition, each meal is served with rolls, honey butter and choice of pumpkin pie, apple pie or peach cobbler. Customers may dine in for $15.99 per person or take-out for $13.99 per person.
