Paris, Bally’s launch year-long $1 million Main Event tourney

Paris and Bally’s Las Vegas will kick off qualifying play for its $1 Million Main Event slot tournament starting in December and continuing through September 2005.

To qualify for the tournament, players must participate in one of 10 monthly "Under Card Bouts" beginning in December. To qualify, players must:

”¡ Earn 1,000 Connection Card points (current members) at Paris or Bally’s Las Vegas

”¡ Earn 500 points as a new Connection Card holder.

”¡ Receive an invitation from Paris or Bally’s Las Vegas.

Each of the monthly Under Card Bouts will qualify 50 players for the Main Event, and give away $10,000 in the process.

For players who don’t qualify during the Under Card round, two Wild Card banquets will be held over the course of the contest. Fifty entries into the Main Event will be drawn from each banquet.

Players can help their chances by earning extra drawing tickets at the rate of one extra ticket per 200 slot points earned.

A total of 600 players will advance to the Main Event, which will be held in four sessions from Dec. 8-10, 2005. The players with the top five scores will advance to the championship Main Event, in which a total of $1,079,500 in prize money will be awarded.
