Barring the performance of Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon on Monday night, Ezekiel Elliott cashed for me in Week 4 of USFantasy Sports.
When I gave the rookie RB out online, Zeke was 36/1 but his odds expectedly went down to a reasonable closing number of 8/1. (Make sure to look for my Fantasy Force online article each week on GamingToday.com available on Saturdays.) The projected win of Elliott almost got us back even for the weekend.
I used a projection of $2 WIN bets on two players in each of the seven fantasy Props offered by USF, putting us at $28 spent. Elliott got us $18 bucks of that back.
We had a couple close calls starting with Prop #4 Ravens WR Steve Smith, who went off at 34/1 closing line and finished second behind 99/1 Raiders WR Michael Crabtree. According to @USFantasy1 on Twitter, Crabtree paid an amazing $228 for a $2 WIN bet!
In Prop #6 Bears QB Brian Hoyer (28/1) finished just behind projected winner Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (12/1) with only Vikings QB Sam Bradford left to top Wilson on Monday Night Football. We also picked Bradford, who closed at 16/1 and would put us over our investment if he comes out on top.
Biggest shocker of the week was Falcons WR Julio Jones going off at a nice price 15/1 and ripping the Panther secondary for 12 catches, 300 yards and one touchdown. The dynamic receiver crushed the fantasy field by over 200 fantasy points. Giants’ Odell Beckham and Vikings’ Stefon Diggs have yet to play but I doubt you will see Julio fall from the top spot.
