Stanley Neal Freedman, 62, a 10 year resident of Henderson, Nev., passed away Jan. 3, 2014. He was born Oct. 8, 1951 in Boston.

Stanley developed a love for sports and horse racing as a child, and put that love to good use working at various harness track in the United States throughout adulthood. During that time he developed the tip sheet “Doc’s Green Card” and the website AmericasSportsPage.com.

Stanley’s love of sports led him to track first-half hockey standings, and for the past two years he provided those stats to GamingToday for publication. Since his death the newspaper’s staff has maintained the standings, which are popular with readers.

Stanley is survived by siblings Amy Freedman of Edgewater Md., and Jack Freedman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and his dog, Peanut.

Services and burial were held earlier this month at Olney, Md.
