Lagasse’s Stadium has booked legendary UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian and noted national handicapper Hank Goldberg for its celebration of the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament.

"Tark The Shark" retired as the winningest coach in college basketball history with a 990-228 career record (81.3%). He is one of the few coaches to lead three different schools to 20-win seasons and won a national championship at UNLV

Goldberg is often featured on ESPN to analyze odds on sporting events, most notable the NFL and horse racing. Also on the panel are Palazzo oddsmakers Mark Goldman and Chuck Esposito. Lagasse’s Stadium is located at 3325 Las Vegas Blvd. S.

The NCAA tournament has been increased this season from 65 to 68 teams with play-in games slated for Tuesday and Wednesday to set the field of 64. First round games begin Thursday, March 17 leading to the national championship game Monday, April 4 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX.

UNLV is a probable at-large team for this year’s Big Dance and will host the Mountain West Conference tournament beginning Wednesday, March 9 at the Thomas & Mack Center. MWC members San Diego State and BYU are ranked in the Top 10 of the latest Associated Press poll. Each school has been ranked in the top 5 during the course of the season.
