Las Vegas becomes the cowboy capital of the world this week as fans and competitors arrive for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
The rodeo itself is held Dec. 1 through Dec.10th featuring competitions in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
The event at the Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada Las Vegas has been a sellout for 26 years in a row and 2016 marks the 32nd consecutive year the NFR will be held in Las Vegas.
Thousands upon thousands of fans without actual NFR tickets flow into to Las Vegas to attend viewing parties at most casino/resorts, craft shows, additional rodeo and western heritage events, and concerts by top country music artists.
So, cowboy up!
