From Lakers-Bulls to UEFA Champions League

So last week was a disaster from a football standpoint. Clearly I need to stay away from college football, which was like dipping my toe in the water and getting burned so I am right back out of the pool where I belong. Basketball was a juice out, so I am going to stick with what has been working for me – the NBA.

Tuesday

Bulls at Lakers (-5.5, 209.5): Coming off a crushing win over the visiting Nuggets, LA has been an inconsistent but capable team. At 7-10 to start the season the Lakers are much better than the Bulls (3-11) and should be up to put away a team they know they should beat. LAKERS

Wait a minute, one game in the NBA Tuesday… ugh, well let’s really get crazy. UEFA Champions League anyone?

Now I know a lot of you aren’t the soccer or futbol type, but this is the best soccer in the world. The top European clubs have to qualify in their own country’s leagues and come together to decide who the best in all of Europe is each year. So let’s find some winners as these games are always on TV on Tuesday and Wednesday around noon, so something to watch while kids are in school if you happen to be off work.

Tuesday

Westgate lines

Feyenoord at Manchester City (Man City -2.5; Total 4 OV +105 UN-125): This is a complete mismatch if you couldn’t tell from the line. Feyenoord is a Dutch soccer club that has made the group stage but has been completely outclassed in the first four games of the group, getting outscored 3-12. Man City dropped them 4-0 on the road and now it’s back in England. I don’t think the Citizens won’t mean to embarrass Feyenoord, it will just happen. OVER

RB Leipzig at AS Monaco (RBL +185, Monaco +135, Draw +255): Monaco has drawn twice while RB Leipzig upset Porto 3-2 in the third game of the group stage. I think Monaco finally turns things around here knocking off Leipzig to keep their hopes alive for second place. MONACO

Wednesday

Chelsea at Qarabag FK (Chelsea -350, Qarabag +1050, Draw +425, Total 2.5 OV -130, UN EV): It’s the name team as a huge road favorite, lay the small juice, not the big juice. No need to overanalyze. OVER

Last Week: 2-5, 1 pending

Season: 29-28-1.
