VIP College Football's Dirty Dozen | The worst College Football teams against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
Our panel came across a tease that stopped us in our tracks – The 24 hours that changed Rutgers football history, remembering the day Greg Schiano left.
The same Greg Schiano who was absolutely torched this week by Vols Nation in social media when Tennessee seriously considered hiring him as head football coach.
Back in 2012 Schiano was the darling of Piscataway and arguably the reason Rutgers became an attractive school for the Big Ten. Schiano had decided to leave the Scarlet Knights for the Tampa Bay Bucs after taking a perennial Big East doormat and building a program that won a share of the conference title and produced bowl victories in five of his final six seasons.
It didn’t work out so well at Tampa Bay, but Schiano had the reputation as a program builder and was an attractive candidate to take over a Tennessee mess that has been reduced to Rutgers level. But the vultures who crave Rocky Top did a character assassination of the man by simply mentioning one school (Penn State) and one name (Sandusky).
