VIP NFL Football's Dirty Dozen | The worst Pro Football teams against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
What better place for the New York Giants to visit than the land of Sanctuary Cities – Oakland, California!
It was noted in our last session that the time was right for the Giants to sit Eli Manning and see what remained in the closet. What we didn’t expect was the classless way it went down and the choice of Geno Smith to start ahead of rookie Davis Webb, who was drafted out of nearby Cal.
Geno is on the list of worst NFL quarterbacks of all-time. Webb is an unknown quantity and the real reason behind Eli’s benching – and that’s what it was no matter how management wants to spin it. We will lay odds that from former G’Men coach Tom Coughlin’s classy and no mincing words response to the Manning insult, Eli winds up in Jacksonville next season.
As for the Raiders, Christmas has indeed come early. Often called the Oakland Mausoleum, it’s the perfect place for laying the Giants carcass to rest. As disappointing as Raider Nation has been this season, here’s a golden opportunity to get solidly back in the AFC West race.
