WIN Take 804 Toronto Raptors -11 over 803 Atlanta Hawks
The Toronto Raptors look to snap a rare losing streak when they host the Atlanta Hawks in an Eastern Conference battle. Tip-off is set for 4:30 pm PT at Air Canada Centre where the Raptors are favored by -11. The total is 214.5.
Toronto (23-10, 12-1 home) had won 10 of 11 games to start December before losses to Oklahoma City and Dallas on Wednesday. Those setbacks marked just the third time this season that the Raptors have dropped consecutive games. DeMar DeRozan is the team’s top gun averaging 24.1 points per game (12th in the NBA), but is mired in a 7 for 32 slump from the field in in the past two games. Home cooking could remedy things – given that the Canadian club has won 10 straight at the Air Canada Centre.
Atlanta (9-25, 3-14 road) is riding a winning streak for the first time this campaign after Wednesday’s 113-99 home victory over Washington. The Hawks finished a season sweep of Dallas with Saturday’s 112-107 victory, after losing six of their previous seven. Dennis Schroder leads seven players averaging in double figures scoring at 19.9 points per game and is a big reason that Atlanta is tied for sixth in the NBA in 3-point shooting (38 percent).
The Raptors routed the Hawks 112-78 in Atlanta on November 25 in their first meeting of the season. Toronto is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Canada and 9-4 ATS in the past 13 overall meetings.
The favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and the home team is on a 5-2 spread run.
