A battle of two legends will go down in the Octagon this Saturday night here in Las Vegas, Nev.
Randy "The Natural" Couture will fight against Mark "The Hammer" Coleman. Randy is the favorite at -400. Coleman is the underdog at +300.
One fact that is pretty unusual is the age of both fighters combined is 91. Couture is 46 and Coleman is 45. These two warriors have been fighting since the mid 90's, but will go at it for the first time this weekend. Both have great wrestling skills and powerful striking.
I see Coleman coming out fast and trying to destroy Couture quickly via knockout. I have watched Coleman train for the past two months and was able to spend some time talking to him. He has never looked better. His level of intensity is impressive. This should be one hell of a fight. My pick is Coleman.
Another good fight on this card pits Nate "The Great" Marquardt versus Chael Sonnen. Marquardt is the favorite at -400 and Sonnen is your underdog at +300.
Marquardt is a very well-rounded fighter and should be able to get through Sonnen with little dificulty. Sonnen has a good wrestling background and won several of his fights by controlling his opponent on the ground and winning by decision. He will a tough time doing that with Marquardt. My pick is Marquardt.
Finally we see the return of fan favorite Matt "The Terror" Serra versus Frank "Twinkle Toes" Trigg. This should be an all out brawl. Serra is the favorite at -140 and Trigg the underdog at +110.
I believe Serra is the favorite because of his aggressive and heavy hands. He will look to knock his opponent out while on his feet. Both men have a decent ground game but I don't see this one getting there. My pick is Serra.
Until next week, I hope you cash some tickets.
