The David Haye-Wladimir Klitschko bout received huge betting interest in British books, due largely to the Ali-like boasts from the English underdog. So brash were Haye’s putdowns of the Klitschko brothers he actually went off as the favorite in what was a one-sided decision in favor of the longtime heavyweight champ Wladimir.
Even the Vegas books profited from the pre-fight bantor from Haye, who knocked the line down to -150 – anall-time low for a "Dr. Steelhammer" title defense.
British books still have these futures: Haye tofight between age 31 and 32 (yes EVEN, no 8-11). Haye to fight both Klitschko brothers before 31 (yes 8-1, no 1-20). How about 8-1 that Haye lands a single power punch? FYI: Haye turns 31 on Oct. 13.
