The Washington Nationals are in trouble right now, losing more than winning, with manager Matt Williams on the hot seat. General Manager Mike Rizzo set the tone for weakness when he babied Stephen Strasburg in 2012 by keeping his star pitcher off postseason play, and now their window is closing.

The Chicago Cubs just might be playoff bound; they have a young team so let’s see if their bats get heavy in September.

I love Dana White and what he has done as president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and mixed martial arts, but there have been a lot of failed drug tests. The latest is the popular Anderson Silva, suspended for one year because of doping. At least White is holding these guys accountable. In the meantime the current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is saving the day.

Serena Williams just lost a match to Belinda Bencic at the Rogers Cup this weekend. I wouldn’t be too worried – she was probably bored waiting for the upcoming U.S. Open, which she will win and complete the Grand Slam.

The Michael Sam saga is over as far as football goes. The SEC player of the year announced he will step away from football for personal reasons after starting the season with the Montreal Alouettes. I don’t think the 25 year old can play football.

As of this writing Tom Brady and deflate gate continues – you’ve got to be kidding!

And last but not least, who would have “thunk” it – Tim Tebow is on the football field again as a QB with the Philadelphia Eagles. Good luck, pal!
