No more MLS overs back to MLB betting

Well, you will not see another MLS total this season in my column. Lesson learned.
I had two awful beats last week, missing a UFC over by 8 seconds and in the Vancouver Whitecaps-Real Salt Lake game we had two goals in a 2.5 total in the opening 15 minutes, the remaining 75 minutes no goals scored. Ugh. Guess you need weeks like this to appreciate the banner weeks.
Moving on, MLB has returned, thank the Maker. I am still salivating for the return of NFL totals and even some college football, I am so starved. With that said, I am only going with four picks this week because I couldn’t find any more UFC totals other than the main event.
Last Week: 2-3
Rays-Rockies OVER 12: Is it just me or do the Rockies totals grow by the month. Basically it’s the dream matchup from a ballpark and pitching sense. Both teams have horrible pens and can smash so that’s why the total is 12. I still like it over.
Twins-Tigers OVER 10: Same story as above, the Twins have nothing to lose in the second half of the season… except more games, which they will. That being said, the Tigers bullpen will help keep Minnesota in the game.
Padres-Cardinals OVER 8.5: I really feel for Padres fans, I have no idea what that team is ever trying to do. They traded their one good pitcher, Drew Pomeranz, to the Red Sox for a bunch of developmental guys. When are the Padres going to stop trading young assets? Anyway, I think the bats will be alive on the road here and the Cards aren’t going to let the Padres bats dominate, so the over is live.
UFC on Fox 20 – Holly Holm-Valentina Shevchenko OV 4.5: Holm is back after her shocking tapout loss to Miesha Tate and takes on the gritty Shevchenko, who went a full three round with new champion Amanda Nunes. I think Shevchenko falls here but looks solid by taking the former champ Holm the distance.
