Aldo vs. Holloway highlights UFC 212 and USFantasy will have wagering

UFC heads back to a hotbed of MMA fans as UFC 212 takes place Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The headliner is for the UFC Featherweight Title as Champion Jose Aldo takes on Interim Champion Max Holloway to prove who’s the real 145 pound champ.

USFantasy will be offering odds on the PPV card but as of press time the lineup was not out.

If we look back at the last few cards they put up we can get a good idea of what they might do this weekend.

Main events have always gotten the biggest options as it would stand to reason we will have a 13-way prop for Aldo vs. Holloway. ThatWhich means Aldo by KO in Round 1, RD 2, RD 3, RD 4, RD 5 and by decision, with the same options for Holloway and a draw.

Other fights on the card: No.1 ranked Women’s Strawweight Claudia Gadelha vs. No. 2 ranked Women’s Strawweight Karolina Kowalkiewicz; Vitor Belfort vs. Nate Marquardt; undefeated Brazilian Paulo Borrachinha vs. Oluwale Bamgbose; Erick Silva vs. Yancy Medeiros.

Westgate has the following lines on the fights: Aldo -110, Holloway -110 (4.5 rounds OV-155, UN +135); Gadelha -280, Kowalkiewicz +240 (2.5 rounds OV -310, UN +260); Belfort -135, Marquardt +115 (1.5 rounds OV +195, UN -230); Borrachinha -310, Bamgbose +260 (1.5 rounds OV +200, UN -240); Silva -110, Medeiros -110 (1.5 rounds OV -170, UN +150).

Based on the lines, we can gather that either fighter in the main event has a shot to win by decision, so keep an eye on Aldo or Holloway over 4-1 or higher. I truly think this fight is a real pick’em match and I don’t have a lean one way or another, so let the odds influence your plays.

Next up the ladies, clearly the bookmakers like Gadelha by decision as I found her -170 offshore by decision. If you can get EVEN money or higher on her there it’s a great bet. I personally think KK can win this fight and if you can get 10-1 or more by decision take a shot.

This was supposed to be the retirement fight for Belfort but rumors have him headed to Bellator. Nate Marquardt has had so many fights in UFC the time for him has to be coming to an end. He did manage to last the distance with Sam Alvey in his last fight but I can’t really back someone so inconsistent. This fight would be a pass for me.

Borrachinha is one of the best Brazilian prospects for UFC. This fight vs. Bamgbose should be a showcase a first round KO win for Paulo.

Lastly look at Mederios RD 2 and 3; if the odds are around 5-1 or more.

Final Note: Last weekend Errol Spence put on a great fight with Kell Brook over in England, winning the IBF Welterweight Title by TKO in the 11th after Brook complained he could no longer see properly.

It was a solid action fight with both fighters willing to trade, but the one thing that bothered me? Brook took a knee at 1:31 of the 11th, which just happened to be one second after the round prop made the fight go over. I am not saying there was anything fixed here but I think at the very least that should require a little investigation. Haven’t heard much about it so I thought I would make a mention of it. This is why legalized betting is so important to be on top of any unusual betting patterns, but with so much money bet illegally who knows if something was up.
