Horses to Watch Alert

Race 4 No. 2 LEMON DROP RIDGE: This Lemon Drop Kid filly took some time to break her maiden, but she always looked to have some talent. Canadian jockey Chantal Sutherland rode her for buddy Kristin Mulhall and then got a nice win by almost a 1½ lengths. Look for Mulhall to find a claim-proof starter allowance race next time out and get a repeat win at another good price.
No. 6 SECRET OATH: One of the few Peter Miller trained horses coming off a layoff that did not fire. Was going a mile on the grass and numbers from last year made her look like a serious player. She was last until the top of the stretch when taken four wide and did not have the big late kick. Look for her to come back at a big price next time out going long on the grass. Just may pop at boxcars.
Race 7 No. 6 SAHARA SKY: This colt was last seen running at Delta Downs last November when making his first start in the mud. Was well bet and went wire-to-wire for an easy win. Didn’t race again until now when he resurfaced with Jerry Hollendorfer, who just happened to be part owner. Broke slow and was dead last before swinging out at the top of the lane and storming home for the win at 7-1. This 3yo looks to have some upside and we will follow.
