Saber’s Golden Gate analysis for Thursday

Saber’s Golden Gate Fields analysis

Race 1

$20K maidens go six furlongs to start off this lackluster seven-race card. No. 4 He Be Mojo Risin comes off the layoff and drops in class. He finds little to beat and this is a go spot. We will single in the picks. 4**

Race 2

$12,500 claimers travel 1 1/16 miles. No. 2 Lucky General gets back to the level of his nose loss and exits a key race. No. 7 Maxinamillion rarely runs a bad race and looks the main danger. 2-7

Race 3

$20K fillies and mares travel a flat mile on the turf. No. 4 Posh Holly drops in class and looks the one to beat. No. 5 Gratzie gets back on the grass and back to the price of her narrow loss one race back. 4-5

Race 4

$12,500 fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Starza just beat a group of $12,500 fillies and mares in her last race. No. 4 Untouched Elegance is in from Santa Anita and gets off the grass and drops in class looking for the win. No. 5 Purdue looks to be the speed of the speed. 4**-5-1

Race 5

$8K maidens go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Lucky Cause is a first-time starter out of the dam Everything Good who has dropped four winners from four starters. No. 9 Duchamp comes off the layoff and gets a big class drop and makes his first start as a gelding. 5-9

Race 6

$20K claimers go five furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Cartoonist is a two-time winner here on this five-furlong grass course. No. 5 Strike It Lucky is back from Santa Anita where he met much better on the turf. No. 6 Whoa Buddy was just a neck behind Cartoonist last out. 1-5-6

Race 7

$50K starter allowance fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. There is a ton of early speed in here and that will set things up for No. 1 Spun Away who will be mowing them down at the wire. No. 8 Way to Fire gets off the grass and and a turnback to a sprint. 1***-8
