Lucky’s Race and Sports is getting an early jump on Monday’s All Star Home Run Hitting Contest with a list of several proposition wagers sure to add even more zest to the competition.

Toronto’s Jose Bautista, this season’s major league home run leader and last year’s runaway champ, is the 5-2 overall favorite to win the eight-man competition. Milwaukee’s Prince Fielder is next at 7-2 followed by Matt Holliday (St. Louis) at 4-1 and David Ortiz (Boston at 9-2).

Rounding out the field are Adrian Gonzalez (Boston) at 6-1, Matt Kemp (LA Dodgers at 8-1), Robinson Cano (NY Yanks) at 10-1 and Rickie Weeks (Milwaukee) also at 10-1.

There are also first round individual props with Bautista opening as a -125 favorite over Fielder (-105); Holliday -125 over Ortiz (-105), Gonzalez -120 over Kemp (-110) and Cano against Weeks a pick’em (both at -115).

The American League is a -125 favorite over the National as far as total number of homers.

My recommended selections would be Kemp at that very nice 8-1 price to win it all and at -110 in his individual matchup with Gonzalez.
