Take 915 Boston Red Sox / 916 Toronto Blue Jays OVER 9 (1:07 pm PT)

The Toronto Blue Jays look to expand their division lead when they host the Boston Red Sox at the Rogers Centre. Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (-190) will face Wade Miley. The total is 9.

The Blue Jays (85-62) took the opener of the three-game series 6-1, pushing their lead to 4.5 games over the second-place Yankees. Toronto has won three straight and six of eight to lower its magic number to 12 to clinch the Eastern Division. If successful it would give the Jays their first playoff appearance since 1993.

Miley (11-10, 4.41) hasn’t had much luck with the Blue Jays, posting a 9.24 ERA in three career starts against them. The left-hander has allowed eight runs and 15 hits in 11 innings over two games at Rogers Centre this season. Miley walked a career high-tying seven the last time he took the mound there July 2, but he's walked just two in 36 innings over his last five outings.

Dickey (10-11, 4.08 ERA) suffered his first loss since before the All-Star break on Sunday, when he surrendered five runs in 7 2/3 innings at New York. He has a five-game winning streak and a 1.69 ERA in his last six at Rogers Centre but is 0-3 with a 5.76 ERA in his first four starts against the Red Sox this season.

The OVER is 12-5-1 in Boston’s last 18 road games and 37-16-2 overall last 55. The UNDER is 6-2-1 in the last nine series meetings.

Toronto is 37-14 in their last 51 games overall and has won 26 straight games when scoring five or more runs.
