The Kansas City Royals received a bit of a boost in the 2016 World Series odds after beating the Mets this past Sunday night in 5 games. The new world champs went from 18-1 to repeat down to 14-1, still well back of the favorites, the Los Angeles Dodgers at 8-1 in the most recent odds released Monday afternoon at Westgate Las Vegas.

The NY Mets, who lost to the Royals in the 2015 World Series, rate ahead of KC at 10-1, tied with the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals. The St. Louis Cardinals, who had the best overall record in the major leagues, were at 12-1 along with Texas and Pittsburgh. The Philadelphia Phillies, the longest shot, are 300-1.
