VIP NBA Basketball's Dirty Dozen | The worst NBA teams against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
We watch the NBA each night in disbelief. Golden State, Cleveland and Oklahoma City stink against the spread. Brooklyn, which is bad overall, is great against the number.
Most of the rest hang close to or just above .500 against the spread. In other words, the Dozen is significantly dirtier and easier to win at in college hoop. But the Association has the big stars and the NCAA’s best want in ASAP.
So, in the words of the Donald, let’s clean up the swamp.
What caught our eyes this week were two major trades sending Blake Griffin from the LA Clippers to Detroit and Nikola Mirotic leaving Chicago for New Orleans. The Bulls and Clips rank third and fourth respectively in the NBA against the spread. Thus, removing the best players from both teams has our panel of “guessperts” concerned heading to the All Star break.
If you look at the overall picture from a betting angle, the Boston Celtics clearly have the best team in the league by a wide margin. At 37-15 straight up and 31-19-2 against the number they have no equal in terms of consistent efficiency.
