NCAA tournament coverage
Beginning tomorrow, GamingToday will offer complete analysis and predictions on all NCAA tournament games. Championship coverage began yesterday with the opening round or "play-in" game between Winthrop and Arkansas/Pine Bluff. Even though late betting action came in on Winthrop and the game’s "OVER," GamingToday correctly tabbed Arkansas/Pine Bluff as the outright winner, and correctly predicted that the game’s total would go under 112 ½ (final score was 61-44).
St. Johns vs. Memphis -6½: Both of these teams had some nice wins over the course of the season, but not enough to get them into the Big Dance. Memphis probably came closer to making the cut, losing 66-65 in the conference tournament to Houston, which drew into the NCAA field of 64. Nonetheless, St. Johns played the tougher schedule and actually had some nice wins over tournament teams: Louisville (74-55) and Notre Dame (69-68). Because of the tough way Memphis just missed going to the NCAA tournament, it’s hard to see them fired up for this spot. And St. Johns has been a decent road team all season. St. Johns +6½
