On the gridiron, they are stalwart foes, but the University of Florida and the Florida State University have agreed to join in the effort to sell lottery tickets for the State of Florida.

According to an AP report, the Florida Lottery is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars so it can use the logos of the two universities on a new $2 scratch-off lottery game aimed squarely at football fans.

The $50,000 Gridiron Cash tickets went on sale recently. The attraction is not only cash prizes but season tickets to the schools’ games and even bowl tickets to games featuring the Gators or Seminoles.
