VIP College Basketball's Dirty Dozen | The worst College Basketball teams against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
Oklahoma-Nebraska was one of the great rivalries in college football, but when the Huskers decided life in the Big Ten better suited their program, we basically forgot about it. But Husker Nation hadn’t and seeing the Sooners collapse in basketball, is sweet music.
While Nebraska has gone an incredible 16-1 against the spread in the last 17 games, Oklahoma has regressed from a potential No. 1 seed to one headed for missing the Big Dance altogether. The Sooners after a 12-1 start are 4-10 since following the season’s low point, a 30-point humiliation at Kansas. Losing at KU is not the problem. Losing by 30 is.
And unfortunately for Trae Young his comparisons to Stephen Curry have turned into more like Stepin Fetchit, an African-American comedian of the 1930’s. Nebraska is finding OU basketball pretty funny these days. Lon Kruger isn’t.
The Oklahoma coach has seen his star player fall apart at the basketball seams. His 3-point shot has disappeared and the rest of the team has buckled under the increasing pressure. OU has earned Dirty Dozen status at No. 4 and facing a fate a whole lot worse – an invitation to the NIT.
