Sports betting losses hard but feel good about wager

Last Sunday morning I saw something I’ve seen over and over again for years. A customer had just made between five and six parlays. As he turned to leave, the clerk hollered at him that he forgot to pick up one of his tickets.

After getting it he turned to me and basically said, “Aw just another loser,” might as well forget it.

Now we all know rooting for a loser does not work either, but an attitude change is a small way of saying I have a chance to win. Sports betting wins are hard under any circumstance so thinking positive might not show in that instance, but it could keep your head on a swivel and help you somewhere down the line.

When booking we have an advantage and that is playing against human nature. The guy showed exactly what I mean. He gave up before they even kicked off. I can’t guarantee anything, but a better attitude will keep you in the game longer.

The longer you are “live,” the “bettor” chance you have. Take care, Jimmy V.
