I’m sold on Broncos, Patriots only challenge to SB

Denver is going to the Super Bowl!

Forget the two losses the Broncos have on the road at Indy and New England, this team will be playing at home in the playoffs and will only have to win two games to get to the promised land.

After Sunday’s win at KC, the Broncos have all but solidified the division title, and with a remaining cupcake schedule, The Broncos overcame a 14-point deficit to manhandle the Chiefs.

Peyton Manning threw for over 400 yards and had five touchdown passes, four to Eric Decker. “I think he showed people why he’s so great,” Decker said. “How we run our offense, we’re very versatile as far as going inside, outside, left, right, whatever it may be.”

Decker had eight catches for a career-high 174 yards for the Broncos (10-2), who moved a game clear of the Chiefs (9-3) in the division.

The Patriots are the only team that might present any challenge for the Broncos but I am not buying it. No one has more respect for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick than me but they are only 3-3 away from home. The obvious value is with Denver Broncos after giving up at least 25 points in five games.

It won’t matter because this year’s team will simply outscore you. No one in the AFC can compete come playoff time knowing Denver is 6-0 at home.

The Bengals have talent on both sides of the ball but I am not a big fan of Marvin Lewis. The Colts are good, but would have to go on the road and beat New England and Denver. Good luck with that. Play the Broncos to win the AFC.

Let’s take a look at who is making and costing you money ATS (against the spread) and totals. The Niners, Cardinals, Raiders and Cowboys are the best vs. the point spread. Money burners include the Bears, Texans and Redskins.

As far as totals go, the Chiefs and Panthers have been dead UNDER teams while the Texans and Rams continue to fly OVER

I am pumped as I have made it to the Finals of the Friday Football Showdown. Sixteen professional sports bettors/handicappers have been competing for $25,000 vs. the point spread. The finals are a week from Friday at Golden Nugget.

Remember when betting sports to take the advice of my buddy Lem Banker who says to “bet with your head, not over it.”
