Totally satisfying Saints-Giants Over

Nov 3, 2015 3:00 AM

Well, Sunday was very kind in the “over” department, the New Orleans Saints defeated the New York Giants, 52-49. So let’s just say OVER 49.5 was about as close to a lock as a gambler can get.

I only needed one point in the second half to get there. Overall it was a 3-2 week; both losses were close but nonetheless counted against me. Hopefully you got a good number on the Vikings-Bears game as the total 42.5 was the winner in a 23-20 game. There were some 42.5’s around town on Saturday but by gameday the total was bet up to a losing 44 most places.

Well let’s jump right in for my five favorite totals of the week:

Last week: 3-2

Tuesday

Flyers-Oilers OVER 5.5: Hockey is a tough over sport but with Flyers on the Western Canadian trip look for goals from both sides.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – Vfl Wolfsburg-PSV Eindhoven OVER 2.5 : Wolfsburg took the first leg and sit atop the table. PSV is only 1 point back of second but are currently in the cellar. Look for a game that opens up once PSV or Wolfsburg makes a mistake.

Wednesday

Ohio-Bowling Green OVER 65.5: Bowling Green is averaging 56.3 points per game last three weeks, as a -20 favorite don’t see them slowing down. Ohio has struggled recently but could contribute to the total early on.

Sunday

Raiders-Steelers OVER 48: The Raiders are rolling, but run into the Steelers coming off a defensive war with rival Cincinnati. Big Ben will have a sour taste in his mouth after his poor performance last Sunday. With LeVeon Bell on the shelf the Steel Curtain will have to air it out the rest of the season. Oakland should be able to hang in Pittsburgh.

DC United-Red Bulls OVER 2.5 or 3: No total out as of yet, but I think this could turn into a shootout. DC fell at home to New York and needs at least a 2-1 win to advance. Meanwhile the Red Bulls, who won the Supporters Shield for best MLS record, just need a draw to move on. DC United comes out guns blazing, which should lead to some goals.
