VIP NFL Football's Dirty Dozen | The worst Pro Football teams against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
Adrian Peterson fell out of both favor and carries for the Minnesota Vikings so they sent him along with his big salary in the offseason to the New Orleans Saints. Apparently he, gumbo and management didn’t see eye to eye.
The one-time premier running back in the NFL was down to third string and, with Arizona having no sufficient replacement for David Johnson, by Week 6 action had to be taken. So a few days ago, the Cardinals brass went “Yo, Adrian” and the Saints obliged.
And you assumed we would devote our Dirty laundry this week to the New York Giants. Fooled you again. Eli is good to go for another week.
The Cardinals are No. 1 in our poll, a sorry woe and low five against the spread. When DJ went down with a fractured left wrist in the third quarter of the season opener against Detroit, the handwriting was pretty much on the wall for disaster. Arizona wound up losing 35-23 to the Lions and not much has improved since -- unless we bettors were smart enough to put the Cards on our bet-against list.
