Here’s taking a stab at four Super Bowl LII prop bets offered by Westgate Las Vegas:
1. Will New England’s Ryan Allen have a punt of more than 54.5 yards?
This gets a resounding NO (at -110), since he’s had only one such kick in his last 37 boots covering 10 games. His specialty is pooch punting.
2. The over/under on passes by Tom Brady is 38.5.
The vote here is OVER (-110). It was much the same offering last year when Brady passed 62 times vs. Atlanta. Also, he’ll be facing an Eagles defense that allowed the fewest rushing yards this season. Against the only two teams he faced in the top five in this category this year, Brady passed 45 times against Carolina and 53 vs. Tennessee.
3. Will Brady have a run more than 2.5 yards?
Considering he figures to be dropping back 40-plus times and since the Eagles have a stout pass rush, he no doubt will be running for his life on several occasions and probably will be able to slither away for a decent gain or two. And the odds are spectacular at YES +170.
4. The over/under on solo/assisted tackles by Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks is 4.5.
The choice is UNDER (-110) because Kendricks and many of his teammates are coming off the flu or some similar ailment and might be rested more than usual.
