Thorgbjorg Olesen lost in PGA Masters shuffle

Lost amid the hoopla of an Aussie victory and the “ungentlemanly” play of Tiger Woods over the weekend, was the spectacular play of an unknown (in America) golfer during the final three days of the Masters Tournament.

Thorgbjorg Olesen, 23, of Denmark, in his first Masters appearance, shot 10-under par for the final three days of action, easily topping the entire field. Unfortunately, Olesen opened Day One with a 78, thus leaving him with a minus four for the tournament.

That placed him in a tie for sixth place.

Olesen ranks among Europe’s Top Ten golfers and surely will see more television time should he decide to play in more American tournaments.
