PGA makes great decision to move event to Mexico

Golf made a historic decision moving the WGC event from Doral Country Club in Miami to Mexico City. Not only was it a major success as a tournament, but the game was introduced to millions of Mexicans and Latinos. People were chanting for golfers on a first name basis, falling in love with Ricky Fowler.

The world’s No. 1 Dustin Johnson won in his first event since becoming the best in the sport plus we got a real education in poana greens when most courses in the USA use either Bermuda or bent grass. And the way Mexicans and the Latino community are passionate about soccer, perhaps more and more wagering on golf will be done in Vegas books. There certainly is a huge market to tap into.
