VIP Golf's Dirty Dozen | The worst in Golf against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
With Tiger Woods entered at Quail Hollow, Jordan Spieth not playing will go relatively unnoticed.
Spieth missed the cut last week at the Zurich Classic, which due to its different and rather boring alternate shot format was not must watch TV in Dirty Dozen headquarters.
The golf betting world loves when Tiger plays and we have him next week as well at golf’s “fifth major” the Players Championship at Ponte Vedra Beach (FL) outside Jacksonville. Charlotte is bigtime golf country so this will be a wonderful lead-in to the famed 17th island green and the fabulous 18th hole at TPC Sawgrass next week.
Rory McIlroy is the pre-tourney favorite a 7-1 due to his great track record at Quail Hollow. Justin Thomas and one of his Rat Pack buds Rickie Fowler are next at 10-1. Everyone else is 20-1 or higher. Tiger usually doesn’t play Quail Hollow so having him enter is a treat for all us. Hopefully he will be around for all 72 holes.
