VIP Golf's Dirty Dozen | The worst in Golf against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
Playing Memphis the week before the US Open works for some, not so much for others. The Justins, Thomas and Rose, said no. Jordan Spieth is practicing his putting. Rickie Fowler is making more commercials, while Rory and Tiger are thinking Shinnecock.
There are however plenty of guns in this holster, led by Dustin Johnson at 6-1 and a past winner of the event in 2012. In fact, previous winners have done quite well over the years. Daniel Berger is looking to threepeat, having won in 2016 and 17. He would join Lee Trevino as the only three-time winner.
Berger and 2015 winner Fabian Gomez posted the lowest winning scores at 13-under par this decade at TPC Southwind, a par 70, 7,244 yard track that has hosted the event since 1989. Things change next year when this tourney becomes one of the World Golf Championships and moves from June to August.
