VIP Golf's Dirty Dozen | The worst in Golf against the spread coupled with bonehead decisions.
One thing we can say about this year’s Open championship -- nobody is going to win it at Carnoustie below 10-1 odds. That’s because nobody is less than 10-1. In fact, make that 12-1.
That’s where world No. 1 Dustin Johnson stands 24 hours before golf’s toughest test takes place at one of the most brutal courses imaginable, the Scottish links of Carnoustie. If you have the bankroll, an investment of $10 each on the first 10 names of the odds sheet are quite likely to result in a profit. Maybe as much as triple if you get a little ambitious.
There are some added treats at some wonderful prices who could bring a far greater payoff. Francesco Molinari has finished either first or second in four of his last five events. He’s 25-1 at Westgate, down from 60-1. The betting public is very astute.
