Las Vegas’ culinary status gets its next boost Labor Day Weekend when an expansive new dining experience premieres at The Cosmopolitan on the Las Vegas Strip.
Block 16 Urban Food Hall will include six regional-favorite vendors, including Portland’s Pok Pok Wing (specialty wings and drinks), (Lardo (also from Portland featuring specially crafted sandwiches), Nashville’s Hattie B’s (spicy chicken), and New York’s Ghost Donkey (mezcal cocktail bar), District: Donuts.Sliders.Brew (from New Orleans) and Tekka Bar (handrolls and sake from local restaurateur Takashi Segawa).
The official Las Vegas unveiling for all the new dining options is slated for August 31.
The concept is being called quick-service opportunity for diners who want food with name-brand recognition but might not feel they want to devote the time to a long meal. The food hall will be located on the second level of the Boulevard Tower.
"Las Vegas, which has a long track record of seducing the country’s most prominent chefs, is the only place in America where something like this can happen again and again, where multiple properties can simultaneously add A-list culinary talent on the regular," wrote Food & Wine's Andy Wang in May, when news of Block 16 was first revealed.
