Valentine’s Day is here and wedding proposals will be in the air. After this year’s holiday, couples can begin planning their big day in The Event Center at SugarHouse Casino, the site for Bouche Weddings Philly Bridal Showcase on Sunday, Feb. 17, from noon to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.

The all-encompassing bridal showcase will feature the best local wedding vendors as well as an informal discussion on wedding planning followed by a Q&A session. Brides, grooms, family members and friends are welcome to enjoy delicious food, wedding cakes and champagne, while having access to the latest designer fashions and a boatload of prizes.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample decadent wedding cakes from the casino’s in-house pastry chef John Kawash. As former head decorator of Termini Brothers Bakery, Kawash has more than 30 years of cake designing experience and heads the pastry team at Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House.

“If you dream it, we can design, bake and decorate your custom wedding cake,” said Kawash. “We take pride in our handmade cakes and buttercream icing; together they make each cake an artistic masterpiece.”

Guests will experience the bridal showcase in The Event Center’s 10,000 square-foot multipurpose space, which is tailor-made for wedding receptions. The venue features a layout with no columns and floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Delaware River waterfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge.

In addition to weddings and receptions, The Event Center at SugarHouse Casino can be reserved for a variety of occasions, including corporate events, seminars, trade shows and more. Parking is always free.
