Pawn Stars enrich charity with Pawn Stars Poker Run

Rick Harrison of History’s hit reality show “Pawn Stars” leads his 3rd Annual Pawn Stars Poker Run to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Nevada on Sunday, Oct. 2. Harrison is a spokesperson for the National Epilepsy Foundation, dedicated to helping promote their mission by bringing attention to the greater need for epilepsy awareness, education and acceleration of new seizure therapies.

Harrison will lead motorcycle riders through Las Vegas starting at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. Other designated stops on the run are the 100-year old historic Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, Nevada, Distill – A Local Bar (Summerlin) and Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas at Hard Rock Hotel.

The final stop brings the riders back into downtown to Pawn Plaza for the official after party featuring a raffle, live band and catering by Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern.

Sam’s Town

The Henderson casino/resort is hosting Deep-Stack Bounty Tournaments on the second and fourth Saturday of each month at 7 p.m. See the poker room for details.

South Point

The poker room will hold random seat drawings Monday through Thursday during August at 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9 p.m., as well as 2 and 3 a.m. The winner will receive an Army Gift Box, which contains an army-themed compass watch, cigarette lighter, a pen and a surprise item.

Golden Nugget

The downtown venue will host a $100,000 Go for the Gold Blackjack Tournament Aug. 11-14. Entry fee is $500 and includes an opportunity to purchase re-buys and wildcard drawings.

Play for the $5,000 prize in the Last Man Standing Pre-Blackjack Event on Thursday, Aug. 11. Entry fee is $100.

Seminole Casino

The Coco Poker Open will begin a 12-day run at Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, Florida on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at noon. The Open will feature a $2,500 buy-in, $1 million guaranteed, No Limit Hold’em championship event, Sept. 23-26, that will offer 25,000 in starting chips.

There will also be a $250,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em event, Sept. 29-Oct. 2, with a $350 buy-in that will offer 16,000 in starting chips.

Players may qualify for the championship through a number of satellite events being held at the property beginning Sept. 21. Tournaments on Aug. 3, 8, 17 and 22 all have a $2,500 main event seat added to first-place. Additionally, high hand winners on Saturdays from 10:15 a.m. to 2 a.m. win a $270 Coco Poker Open Mega Satellite entry every 15 minutes.

The tournament leader board prize pool in August will also offer a $2,500 main event seat (first-place); $1,000 Coco Poker Open voucher (second-place); $500 Coco Poker Open voucher (third-place); and a $270 Coco Poker Open Mega Satellite into Championship Event entry (fourth-place through 15th-place).
