Top o’ the morning to ya! St. Patrick’s Day is on Friday and everyone is Irish this one day of the year. There are celebrations all over town.
A free three-hour St. Patty’s Day party will overtake the iconic dome entrance of the Plaza Hotel & Casino starting at 7 and culminating at 10 p.m. There will be a live green fireworks show shot from multiple locations on the property plus music by DJ Jacob Savage, live performances by local bands Glass Pools at 8 p.m., followed by Indigo Kidd. Inspired drink specials will be served plus guests will receive match play vouchers and discounts for cocktails at the casino bars. A three minute fireworks display will take place just after 10 p.m.
JC’s Irish Sports Pub will feature a party from noon to midnight with food and drink specials, live entertainment along with basketball game viewing. There is a $15 cover that includes a pint of draft beer or Jameson Shot plus a free Guinness Toast at 4 p.m.
The casino is offering guests a $20,000 Lucky Clover Slot Tournament on Saturday, March 18. Every player is a winner with a $30 buy-in. Top prize is $7,500 cash. Guests must play in both the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. events to qualify to win. The tournament will be played near Shady Grove Lounge.

The Promenade, Caesars Entertainment’s open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district, will bring the luck o’ the Irish to visitors with the annual O’Sheas BLOQ Party – an exciting St. Patrick’s Day celebration this Friday. In addition, large-screen TVs stationed on the Fountain Stage will broadcast college basketball championship games that day.
Kicking off with a lively St. Paddy’s Day parade, the day will include drink specials, leprechauns, live bands The Blackjacks, Silversage, Darbi O’Gill and more till 3 a.m.
Crafted in the warm pub style of 19th century Ireland, Rí Rá Las Vegas, located inside The Shoppes, will host a celebration Tuesday through Sunday complete with authentic Irish nightly entertainment, traditional Irish cuisine and more. On Friday there will be live music, giveaways, Irish dancers, an Irish bagpiper and a specialty menu of Ireland’s most popular dishes.
The Grand Cafes plus Café Fiesta at Fiesta Henderson will have a special menu 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Friday. The menu is corned beef and cabbage made with a slow-cooked corned beef brisket, steamed cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Cost is $9.99 at Palace, Boulder, Texas, Sunset, Santa Fe and Fiesta Henderson. Cost is $11.99 at Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch. For dessert, all the properties are offering bread pudding for $4.99.
