Casinos look to fill rooms rest of year

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, many Las Vegas casinos are gearing up with promotions for their customers and loyalty club members.

For visitors, many hotels are cutting rates in the hopes of generating business. This week sheds light on some Black Friday and Cyber Monday room rate specials.

Cosmopolitan

If you “Meet Curiosity Halfway,” the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas will take care of your half of the room. The special essentially serves as a buy-one-get-one-free on your hotel room, as a 50% off discount applies to each night of your stay.

A unique thing about the staying at the Cosmopolitan comes in the offering of its balconies in select rooms. The booking period begins Monday, Nov. 23, at 11:59 p.m., for dates through Feb. 28, 2021. Blackout dates on holiday travel apply. The following link will activate once the booking period begins: https://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/identity/offer/meet-curiosity-halfway

There’s another hotel stay incentive for those not enrolled in The Cosmopolitan’s Identity Membership & Rewards program: Instant Sterling status. By booking a two-night minimum through the “Revel In Rewards” promotion, you instantly earn Sterling status, enabling your access to a variety of perks.

Sterling members get one comped room night a year (with certain blackout dates), 2x multipliers on slots, a two-for-one Wicked Spoon buffet offer each month, and more.

Downtown Grand

By booking a room now through Nov. 30, you can take advantage of the “Black Friday-Cyber Monday Travel Deal.” The following discounts apply on approved dates: 50% off of a five-night stay, 40% off of a four-night stay, 30% off a three-night stay, 20% off a two-night stay, and 10% off for the night. Access to Downtown Grand’s new 495-room Gallery Tower is also up for grabs in this deal.

The Venetian

This Black Friday Cyber Sale has dates going into 2021. By booking a two-night stay, you get up to 25% off for suite rates, coupled with a $50 food and beverage credit towards your stay.

Station Casinos

There’s three online deals to take advantage of during Station’s “Cyber Sale”: The “Las Vegas Cyber Sale,” “Luxury Suites Cyber Sale,” and “Nevada Residents Only.”

The LV Cyber Sale comes with savings up to 40% off Las Vegas rooms, up to $50 in dining credit for your stay, and up to 50% off suite upgrade rates. The Luxury Suites Sale comes with savings up to 40% on a luxury suite, a $250 dining credit for your stay, butler service, VIP check-in and roundtrip airport transportation if you’re flying in. The Nevada Residents Only” sale includes 50% off suite upgrade rates and waived resort fees.

Each of these specials must be booked online between Nov. 25 through Dec. 2, with your stay on a date between Nov. 25 through March 31, 2021.

This Week’s Big Winners: A Nevada resident hit for $927,929 on Mega Progressive jackpot while playing Pai Poker at Planet Hollywood. Caesars Entertainment says the guest — who was on The Strip to celebrate a friend’s bachelor party — cashed out after playing for nearly 30 minutes.

Some associate Friday the 13th with bad luck, but that might be the furthest thing from true for one player at Rampart Casino. A guest hit a $51,606 jackpot playing a 50-cent Dragon Cash video reel.
