Elvis is back in the building!
To commemorate the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death, all weekend, Aug. 16-18, Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall will celebrate the life and legacy of “The King of Rock n’ Roll” with live entertainment, food specials, contests, movies, music and gaming promotions.
Throughout the weekend, Elvis’ most popular songs will play throughout the casino, while several of his hit movies are aired in Roxy’s during scheduled times. Guests who dress as Elvis can dine for free at the Firelight Buffet.
The Sports Deli will feature a peanut butter and banana sandwich; and Billy Bob’s Steak House & Saloon and Willy and Jose’s Cantina will offer a “King Creole” dinner special – blackened orange roughy and shrimp creole with tobacco onions.
B Connected members have a variety of promotions available during the special weekend including:
• 20X points on all Elvis-themed slot machines:
• daily slot and video poker tournaments;
• three randomly selected $100 hot seats every 20 minutes from 1-4 p.m. daily;
• one randomly selected $1,000 hot seat at 5 p.m. daily.

Renowned Elvis tribute artist Brandon Bennett performs at Sam’s Town Live! this Friday at 8 p.m. Bennett’s show takes the audience on a journey through Elvis’ career, symbolized by powerful vocals, high-energy stage performances and the legendary jumpsuits.

An Elvis Karaoke Contest will be held in Roxy’s this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top five contestants with the first place contestant receiving $1,000. Registration for the contest will take place from 1-2 p.m.
Suncoast: Sister property to Sam’s Town has similar Elvis events going on all weekend, including free “The King” daubers to all bingo players at all sessions on Saturday, a “Remembering the King” Variety Show on Thursday at 2 p.m. and an Elvis License Plate giveaway for players who earn 75 points on Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Opportunity Village: One of Las Vegas’ favorite charities will also celebrate the King’s life on Friday with an Elvis impersonator contest and special performances by the OV Elvi. As the official manufacturer of Elvis’ scarves, OV will also have hand painted silk scarves created by its OVIP’s on display and for sale at the performance.

El Cortez: John Brooks, an award-winning Elvis Presley tribute artist, continues his performance inside The Parlour every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. throughout August.
Harrah’s: The King’s legend lives on in Pete Vallee, who performs as Big Elvis at the Piano Bar. After singing his first Elvis song at a school talent show at age 13, Vallee was inspired to become an Elvis tribute artist.
Vallee has been performing on the Strip for 11 years and was named one of the top 10 Elvis tribute artists by Time Magazine and CNN in 2010. He will sing some of the King’s biggest hits, as well as popular rock, gospel, country and R&B songs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 2, 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
