Barbra Streisand will add another page to her limited history in Las Vegas when she performs Aug. 6, at the T-Mobile Arena. Tickets, priced from $95, will go on sale to the general public May 25 at 10 a.m.
Streisand is one of the most accomplished female recording artists ever and has received 10 Grammys plus 51 gold, 20 platinum and 13 multi-platinum albums.
Her Las Vegas experience goes back to the early 1960s when she opened for Liberace at the Riviera. She later headlined at Kirk Kerkorian’s International in 1969. She performed on New Year’s Eve 1993 and Jan. 1, 1994 at the opening of the MGM Grand Garden Arena, her first shows for paying customers in 27 years. Tickets sold out in minutes. She last sang in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden in 2012.
There have been occasional efforts over the years to lure her into a residency at casinos owned by Caesars or the MGM but a steady schedule of live performances has not been one of her interests.
