Pechanga finishes $300M expansion

Pechanga Resort and Casino, 50 miles north of San Diego, recently completed a $300 million expansion adding 70,000 square feet of additional indoor/outdoor meeting/event space and is now the largest resort/casino on the West Coast.

It has the largest casino floor in California totaling approximately 200,000 square feet. The casino features about 4,000 slot machines, 130 table games, a non-smoking poker room with 43 tables, an ultra-modern 700-seat bingo facility, the High Limit Salon and private gaming rooms.

Pechanga offers over 500 guest rooms and suites and guests can explore a wide variety of dining options from fine dining to casual dining to on-the-go fare. There are over 15 restaurants, bars, lounges and quick-bites options to choose from. Additionally, guests can enjoy spa services and championship golf at Journey at Pechanga.

Members of The Club can earn great offers, comps, and discounts by always playing with their card. The Club recently launched Salute to Military Club Cards to all active duty or retired military personnel. Individuals with valid active duty, veteran or retired military identification can stop by the Club desk on the main casino level to pick up their cards, which provide members with a wealth of discounts on amenities throughout the resort.

Military members are entitled to a 10 percent discount at a tasty roster of dining establishments, including the Pechanga Café, Bamboo, Blazing Noodles, Kelsey’s, Paisano’s, Journey’s End, the Lobby Bar & Grill, Coveside Grill, Umi, the Great Oak Steakhouse, Temptations Food Walk and Blends, along with a $6 discount at the buffet.

Salute to Military Club members also receive a 10 percent discount for tickets to entertainment at the theater, as well as two-for-one tickets to the Sunday 7:30 p.m. performance at the Comedy Club. Ten percent also comes off at a plethora of retail shops: the hotel gift shop, casino gift shop, Journey Pro Shop and on spa products.

Military members also receive a five percent discount on spa treatments and special greens fees at Journey – $70 on weekdays and $90 on weekends, a rate good for up to four players. Finally, military members receive a 10 percent discount on hotel accommodations.

The Club offers four status levels – Red, Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Each level has its own benefits. The higher the card status, the more benefits members receive.

• Silver: No minimum

• Gold: 50,000 Status points

• Platinum: 200,000 Status points

• Red: 350,000 Status points

Members can earn Club Dollars that can be used to enjoy many amenities including rooms, dining, gas and golf.

One dollar coin-in on reels and video slots earns one point and $5 coin-in on video poker earns one point. One thousand points are equal to $1 in value. 

New members of The Club get the opportunity to win up to a $1,000 in Club Dollars by spinning a virtual wheel at any slot machine. Slot players who also earn 8,000 points in the first 24 hours will earn an additional $100 in Club Dollars.

On July 3, Club Card members can receive point multipliers. Silver members earn four times Club Dollars, Gold members five times, Platinum eight times and Red 10 times playing their favorite slots or video poker games and celebrate Independence Day, July 4, with Hot Seats, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., giving away $100 in EasyPlay every five minutes to Club card members.

On Saturday, July 7 players are eligible to win up to $5,000 cash. Every hour from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. the stakes and prizes increase, starting with one winner of $1,000 cash at 5 p.m. and progressing through two winners of $2,000 at 6 p.m., three winners of $3,000 at 7 p.m., and four winners of $4,000 at 8 p.m. Winning climaxes at 9 p.m., when five lucky members will each win $5,000 cash.

Bingo is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a $100,000 Extravaganza on Sunday, July 8 that features $10,000 consolation awards, $2,500 regular games and $10,000 special games, along with door-prize drawings for 40 prizes that include two 42-inch smart TVs, two iPad minis, two Apple Watches and 30 $100 gift cards.
