A bueno brunch at Buddy V’s

Aug 19, 2019 8:30 PM

Once football starts, my Sundays will be filled with watching and betting on the NFL. But during the slow time of summer, something that the wife and I love to do is go out for Sunday Brunch.

There are many places around town to go for Brunch. But one of our favorites that we seem to always go back to is Buddy V’s Ristorante, located at The Grand Canal Shops inside The Venetian.

Buddy V’s always delivers great Italian dishes, but most people don’t know that they have a Weekend Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The brunch is loaded with so many of my favorite items off of Buddy V’s menu.

I always start off at the Antipasto table as there’s a great selection of salami & cheeses, smoked salmon, peel and eat shrimp, salads, tomato & basil soup and a variety of fresh breads and pastries. I then hit the breakfast station for some panettone French Toast and the Sunday Style Frittata.

They also have a carving station featuring house-cured ham, spicy Italian sausage, smoked applewood bacon, slab bacon and roasted sirloin. Pace yourself though, that’s just the breakfast items.

Next up are some of my favorite items from Buddy V’s main menu and it all starts with grandma’s meatballs and chicken parmesan. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered those two items when I dine for dinner so having them on the brunch menu makes it an automatic choice.

One of my other favorites on the brunch menu is the Orecchiette & Italian sausage pasta. If all of that wasn’t enough, wait to you see the dessert station.

Remember, Buddy V is known from the TV show as the Cake Boss and he has a wide variety of cakes, pies, and Italian cookies all for your enjoyment. You can’t go wrong with the cannoli, tiramisu and zeppole.

Buddy V’s Weekend Brunch is also kid friendly as the kids have a section just for them with favorites every kid loves like pizza, chicken tenders, meatballs and mac ‘n’ cheese. The buffet is well worth the price of $39.95 for adults and $14.95 for children 10 and under. I give Buddy V’s Brunch a rating of 3.75 Forks.
