T-Mobile Arena was soldout for the great Mick Jagger and Rolling Stones with Mick Jagger on Oct. 22. The Hall of Fame band from the 60s is still prancing around.

Jagger had to cancel one of his shows due to a sore throat but came back swingin’ with his great voice as good as ever. The Rolling Stones prove that old cockers like us, meaning Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes, and don’t forget Cher (coming back for her 45th and final tour) are not done yet.

Years ago I opened for the Stones in Buffalo, New York and one of the other acts was Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles before she changed the name to LaBelle. In those days I had 16 minutes to do my opening act. And some of the acts I opened for were actually fans of mine.

Real Bronx cheers

Possibly the best two hours of Rock ‘n Roll from the 50s through today is The Bronx Wanderers. Had to go see their show again this week and it doesn’t get much better than this. The room was jumpin’ with a non-stop barrage of musical hits ranging from Frankie Valli to Bruno Mars.

Rumor has it their numbers are so through the roof they are almost ready for a larger room after only a few weeks! They appear nightly at 5:30 p.m. at the Windows Showroom at Bally’s. Don’t miss this show.

We need Steve

One of our best known resident legends is the talented Steve Lawrence. He often performed with wife and Emmy/Grammy winner Eydie Gorme, who passed away in 2013 at 84. Steve is also known to be a good actor/comedian, if you remember his many appearances on “The Carol Burnett Show.” We miss his singing and want to see and hear him in Vegas.

Liberating news!

Speaking of legends, The Liberace mansion on Tropicana Ave. and Swenson St. has been restored and will be open to the public in January for private and charity functions. It looks like when he lived there, after clean-up and restorations, but does not contain any of his own furnishings. Those are stored somewhere else.

David still Goliath

And when it comes to magicians, I keep having to go back to David Copperfield; described by Forbes magazine as the most commercially successful magician in history. He is a marketing genius, owns a 4-story, 31,000 square foot mansion in Las Vegas, a chain of 11 resort islands in The Bahamas and one of the most expensive apartments in NYC. He’s just the best.

What’s up Kim?

The Kardashians! For Kim’s birthday Kanye surprised her with something very special. He canceled her big birthday bash following the Paris robbery, because of security concerns and treated her to a pair of $40,000 diamond earrings instead. She was suing someone who accused her of faking that robbery in Paris but they apologized so she dropped the lawsuit.

FBI is watching

Nobody is more complex than Jan Rouven, the famous German illusionist who was doing a great job at the Tropicana. His show closed in March over child porn allegations. To this columnist it’s kind of sad with a career going so great. His trial has been delayed again while they’re gathering more evidence. As I said months ago, all the illusionists and magicians better watch their backs because the FBI is investigating and watching you on social media.

Britney booming

It wouldn’t be a column if I didn’t mention my soon-to-be friend Britney Spears. She’s a train wreck, a wonderful one who makes great copy… a survivor.

Brit proved everybody wrong with her show at Planet Hollywood. It’s a great success and has been extended again. The media was a buzz when her top fell down on stage while singing “I love Rock ‘N Roll.” Someone gave her a shirt and she went on. It made great copy, darlings.

A new Gaga

Lady Gaga slayed Carpool Karaoke last night on James Corden’s Late Late Show. She broke up with her fiancé, sings with Tony Bennett, and will be doing the Super Bowl. She is a marketing genius and boy can she sing. And, she’s a chameleon, like yours truly.

Divas delish!

Mary J. Blige is in a nasty divorce. Nasty, nasty, nasty and costing her millions. He wants over $100,000 a month for spousal support and it’s gonna get worse. She’s tough and smart and a survivor. I put my money on her!

And, we just heard the news that Janet Jackson cancelled her Unbreakable world tour due to another pregnancy with her billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana. We will soon have another Jackson!

Changing channels

Remember that great lady, Emmy award winning news anchor for Channel 3, Jessica Moore, who had been married to Jim Snyder? Well, now she’s in New York and rumor has it engaged to Rehan Choudhry. He’s the guy who created and produced Life is Beautiful. This is a great romance, love is in the air in the news casting world.

Where are they?

Remember Rip Taylor the zany confetti comedian? Where is he? …And where is Debbie Reynolds? Rumor has it she is ailing and frail. We miss you Debbie! …Singer Paige O’Hara of Menopause fame the past 10 years is supposedly working on launching a new show.

Hope you stayed safe over Halloween.
