Plenty of holiday entertainment for Vegas tourists, locals alike

If you are spending all or part of your Thanksgiving holiday in Las Vegas you will not lack for entertainment options.
The divine Boyz II Men will be harmonizing at The Mirage, fabulous Celine Dion, at Caesars’ Colosseum, will be charming and gracious and simply wonderful, and the talented Clint Holmes, an entertainer’s entertainer, will be at The Palazzo.
Olivia Newton John will be at the Flamingo, Chubby Checker will twist away at South Point and Show Stoppers at Wynn Las Vegas is a must-see.
And don’t forget all those wonderful Cirque shows – The Beatles Love, KA, Mystere, O, Michael Jackson One, Zumanity, Mindfreak – what amazing talent!
33 wonderful years!
A spectacular and grateful week for yours truly hosting Legends In Concert, a wonderful tribute show of live acts created 33 years ago by John Stuart.
Legends is the pioneer of tribute shows and is by far the best of all of them. Each of the talented performers in the show actually looks like the star they portray. And, their own natural voices pay homage to their iconic music counterpart.
Thanks to Murray Sawchuk for all the flowers, Tommy Wind the magician for attending and Mark Mercer for treating me with respect and elegance.
If you remember, FOX anchor Megan Kelly is the one Trump made famous before the debate. I feel Megan owes a big bravo to him, but now she says everybody, including Roger Ailes, harassed her… but she stayed there nine years. Now Megan is on every talk show to try to help women who are sexually harassed. As a columnist, I can tell you this could backfire, when you are putting your dirty laundry out there.
Dumped and a song
In celebrity news, Taylor Swift (not one of my favorite people), is one of the highest paid performers, and a serial dater. After you leave or she breaks up with you, she writes a song about you. You get dumped and you get a song.
Smokin’ hot news
Ricky Martin, on the Ellen show, said he’s engaged to Jwan Yosef. We love Ricky chicky chicky boom, chicky chicky boom… boom boom boom… I want to be a bridesmaid!
And my favorite in the world, Adele, stopped smoking. You know when you stop, your voice changes. That deep quality is gone. She’s noticing the difference.
Dancing to an end
The season ends soon for “Dancing With The Stars.” The dancers should start touring in about a month and will be at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno Dec. 16. Sadly, didn’t see Vegas on the schedule.
Then we have “The Voice,” with Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton. Also Adam Levine, who is part of Maroon Five, which is a great group. But I feel his weekly appearance on a show like this kind of waters down his celebrity.
Odds & Ends
The effervescent, legendary singer and long-time friend Mimi Hines came to my home with her right hand man Michael Lopez and Bill Milton recently reminisced about “Sugar Babies.”
“People” magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive is The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, an ex-wrestler and one of the highest paid actors around. It’s kind of wonderful that you can go from pro wrestling to this.
Look at Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had the affair with the maid and had a son that looks just like him. Then of course he was governor and now will be the new host of “The Apprentice.” I think his tag line will be “Hasta La Vista, Baby!”
And another sexy guy, Harry Connick Jr., has a talk show on TV. Why? Enough said.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and don’t forget to be grateful for our families and friends.
