In honor of Chinese New Year, Palace Station will welcome a traditional Lion Dance into the property to bring more prosperity and good luck with the Year of the Rooster.

For more than 20 years, the Lohan School of Shaolin has performed traditional Lion and Dragon Dances for audiences throughout Southern Nevada. Palace Station is proud to have the school share its lineage and traditions with team members and guests for the Chinese New Year. The Lion Dance will begin at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30 at the Palace Station race and sportsbook and proceed through the casino, which is located at 2411 West Sahara Avenue.

Those looking to continue the Chinese New Year celebration at Palace Station after the Lion Dance can enjoy the property’s authentic Chinese restaurant, Food Express. The eatery’s menu includes items such as roasted duck noodle soup, shark fin soup, live seafood, braised abalone with sea cucumber and sizzling chicken with black bean sauce, perfect for ringing in the Year of the Rooster with a bang. On Feb. 3 and 4, Palace Station also is hosting a $30,000 baccarat tournament for guests to test their luck in the New Year.

The 2017 Chinese New Year is on Jan. 28 and is celebrated from Jan. 27-Feb. 2.
