The Suncoast showroom hosts “Las Vegas Has Talent!,” a new free variety show that is currently running for 12 weeks.
Top local talents selected from an online applicant pool will face off in a free, 2 p.m. show hosted by multi-talented Las Vegas local Doug Starks of “The Rat Pack is Back” fame. In order to compete, contestants must sign up in advance at DesertProductionsLV.com, on the Las Vegas Has Talent page.
All contestants must be 18 years of age or older and applications will be accepted through April 8. Applications will be screened for quality of performance, originality, stage presence and audience appeal. Selected applicants will be contacted to coordinate the date of their featured performance.
Six contestants will face off for the right to advance to the quarterfinals. A panel of surprise celebrity guest judges and audience applause are the deciding factors of who moves on in the competition. Quarterfinal shows will occur every third week throughout the 12 week run.
Three of the quarterfinalists move on to the semifinal competition on April 29. The finals are Tuesday, May 6, with the winner to receive a $1,000 cash prize and a chance to make a guest appearance in the resort’s long-running variety show, Variety, which starts at 2 p.m. every Thursday. Audience members must 21 or over and have a B Connected card to attend.
